Sealite Welcomes Visit from Mumbai Port Trust
As an ongoing user of the Sealite range of navigation lanterns and marine buoys, Sealite was pleased to host a site visit and information session for representatives from the Mumbai Port Trust.
Mumbai Port lies midway on the West coast of India and has a natural deep water harbour of 400sq kms. Mumbai Port has long been the principal gateway of India and has given over 135 years of service to the people of India. Today it caters for approximately 11% of the total sea bourn traffic handled by the major ports of India.
Port representatives showed particular interest in Sealite’s rotationally-moulded buoy manufacturing facilities, PCB assembly and the use of robotics in production processes.
Accompanying Mr Vijay Kumar Prabhu on the site visit was Mr Shabbir Patrawala from Aeromarine, Sealite’s Indian distributor. Aeromarine are very passionate about the Sealite products and have been a great ambassador for the range, presenting the benefits of Sealite products to the ports of India.
Sealite has a major presence in India dating back to 2001 and our products are found in Most Indian Ports.
Sealite would like to thank the Mumbai Port Trust and local partner Aeromarine for taking the opportunity to visit and tour the Australian production facility.
