New tooling factory expands Sealite’s capabilities and enhances design and engineering ingenuity
The design and manufacture of precision-made pressure aluminium die-cast and plastic injection moulding tools to facilitate the on-site production of lenses and components of a variety of Sealite products is now a reality.
In addition to its current manufacturing capabilities to produce marine and aviation navigational aids and equipment, and after months of planning and the successful acquisition and commissioning of assets of specialised tooling company Rhur Tooling P/L, Sealite has expanded to incorporate a state-of-the-art tooling factory that is now ready to begin production.
With a number of key Rhur personnel on board, Sealite is taking advantage of the additional skills and expertise associated with complex tool design. Manufacturing dies in-house complements Sealite’s injection moulding facilities enabling excellent quality control, faster turnaround of new products to greatly increase speed to market, and ingenuity in the development of leading–edge products.
“Keeping the manufacturing process in-house achieves better value for clients, superior quality standards and faster delivery than many of our competitors” said Chris Procter, CEO. “Our clients will benefit from the knowledge that Sealite’s ongoing expansion will enable our product portfolio to continue growing” he added.
Sealite’s process involves expert electronics and software engineers, tooling specialists, a skilled production team and first rate QA procedures to manufacture a range of products that are low maintenance, durable and stand up to the harshest environmental conditions.
Sealite’s commitment to research and development, investing in modern equipment and advanced manufacturing procedures has made it an industry leader in solar marine and aviation LED lighting.
