SL70 Awarded Australian DesignMark
The SL70 lantern was awarded the prestigious Australian DesignMark at the recent Australian Design Awards. The DesignMark is judged by a large group of industry professionals who review and vote for products based on their product design expertise and judgement. Judges are asked to consider the novelty, technical feasibility, commercial success and social & environmental benefits of the inventions. The Sealite SL70 was recognised for the elements of electronic, optical and polymer engineering, and immediate commercial success.
In addition to the DesignMark, the SL70 was included in the 'Powerhouse Museum Selection'. The Powerhouse Museum makes a selection of outstanding products from the finalists in the Australian Design Awards. Products selected are acquired by the Museum and placed on a public exhibition. The criteria for the Powerhouse Museum Selection include excellence in design and innovative use of technologies to provide significant benefits to users.
