Aids to Navigation Photo Contest

Summer is the perfect time to capture the community enjoying the marine lifestyle while maintaining safety on the water. SPX Aids to Navigation is thrilled to announce its first-ever photo contest welcoming your captivating images of buoys in action. Whether you encounter Sealite’s Slow No Wake regulatory buoys while cruising on a boat or you’re involved in installing them, we want to see your best shots!

How to Enter

1. Send your photos to at***********@sp*.com from August 1 to August 31, 2023, before 11:59 PM EST.
2. All images must include the following details:
   1. Photographer’s name
   2. Location of the photo
   3. A brief description of the photo
3. To ensure publication quality, submit high-resolution photos of a minimum size of 2 megabytes (MB). Horizontal orientation is preferred, but images large enough to crop into a horizontal orientation are also accepted.
4. Entrants must be located in North or South America, including the Caribbean.

Additional Contest Rules

1. Entrants must be at least 13 years old as of August 1, 2023, to enter the contest.
2. All submitted photos must be the entrant’s original work.
3. By submitting a photo, you grant us full rights to use it for various purposes, such as displaying it on our website, social media, and other SPX Aids to Navigation publications.
4. Photos featuring people on the water must depict them wearing proper safety gear, such as life vests. Safety should never be compromised for the sake of a photograph.
5. Do not include watermarks on your submitted photos.
6. Ensure that all submissions are in high resolution of a minimum size of 2 megabytes (MB) for consideration.
